Greater Scheme

To my friends way back in 4th year H.S. we all know this song. We may already forgot the tune and the lyrics but I do believe that this is the reason why we keep on Living the Dream. I believe that we live our lives living out the message of this song in every single day of our lives.

This is also for the person who is helping me out with everything that in going thru right now. Just like all of us, that person also is experiencing hardships and pain. Thank you very much, you know that I'm with you always. I hope that you know and feel that...

Tired of weaving dreams too loose for me to wear.
Tired of watching clouds repeat thier dance on air.
Tired of getting tied on doing what's required.
Is Life a mere routine in the greater scheme of things?

Through with taking roads someone else designed.
Through with chasing stars that soon forget to shine.
Through with going through one more day-what's new?
Does my life still mean a thing in the greater scheme of things?

I think I'll follow the voice that calls within.
Dance to the silent song it sings.
I hope to find my place.
So my life will fall in place.
I know in time I'll find my place.
In the greater scheme of things.

Each must go his way, but how can I decide?
Which path I should take?
Who will be my guide?
I need some kind of star to lead me somewhere far.
To find a higher dream in the greater scheme of things.

The road before me bends:
I don't know what I'll find.
Will I meet a friend or ghosts I've left behind?
Should i even be surprised that you're with me in disguise?
For its your hand I have seen in the greater scheme of things.

For yours is the voice of my deepest dream.
You are the heart, the very heart of the
greater scheme of things.

Why don't we follow the voice that calls within.
Dance to the silent song it sings.
One day we'll find our place.
For all things fall in place.
For all things have a place.
In the graeter scheme of things.

on Long Distance Relationships

Thanks to Anonymous who asked for this topic "Long Distance Relationships." Honestly, I don't have that any concrete idea on this. He asked me on how to cope-up with it. That is the challenge. Another thing is on what type of relationship will I tackle? Is it the boyfriend/girlfriend or more the family aspect of relationships. But for the benefit of all, I wil try to tackle both.

Distance, to be away. At first, we may look at it in a very negative mentality. Then if you add the word "Long" before it, it makes the word even worst. But less, we realize that these occurences makes us more stronger and motivated. It all boils down on how a person or what is the out-look of a person in his/her own life. A positive out-look leads to strenghthening and motivating relationships. While a negative one leads to destruction of one's neighbor leading to his/her own destruction, resulting to brokenness of the dreams and aspirations. that person may feel that there is no more reason to Live. Thus, the principle of Black Label by Johnnie Walker: Keep Walking is violated. As I always say, we became stagnant. There is no movement.

Waiting and just standing or shall I say staying in your comfort zone can never be, or is not a movement. This is an important aspect in relationships. Be it the boyfriend and girlfriend type or more on the family aspect. Movement can not start from 'Nothing to Something.' It should be from 'Something to Something even more Greater.' Man can never be contented in what he/she has. We look for something more and when we finally found it. Then the sense of fulfillment sets-in.

Distance should never be an issue. Perhaps maybe, but for some reasons that only reasoning itself can figure it out. We must learn to let go of somethings. Of some relationships, because that way it should be. The reason may not be clear enough or most of the time you can't seem to look at it. What important is that you know that you gave your best shot at it, no regrets in the end. There is no way but to move forward. No more looking back. The conventional reason 'Things happen because it happens' will be accepted.

This is the Anonimity of our Lives: Relationships come and go. Promises are broken. Dreams and aspirations are forgotten.

If you already found the relationship that you will hold-on for a long time, the lessons of the past should come into play: Relationships that will last. Promises that are fulfilled. Dreams and aspirations are renewed once more.

I hope that this would help us. To my Anonymous friend, I hope that you are satisfied with this. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. Vi Ses!! Tusen takk!!

Footprints in the Sand.

Foot prints in the sand doesn't last forever.
Nothing lasts forever. The sand is our world,
your own desires. Your own dreams and fantasies.
Foot prints is you, yourself. How you will master
to live your life.

In the course of the journey there are elements
of change: water and the wind. Changes are inevitable.
Yes, we can resist but the question is for how long.
You remain stagnant, lifeless. Thinking only of your self.
You don't want to be out of your comfort zone.
You are afraid, eventually you are hurting your self
and eventually hurting the people whom you Love.

To live a life with meaning, but how to live that
life if the meaning is already gone? It is gone because
it is meant to be. That is a big bull!@#$. It is gone
because it is allowed by us. We never gave that one
last ditch effort for us to save what is left. Then regrets
come into the scene, the "what if...maybe I should have
done this and that..." Maybe the only way to live it,
is to walk it. Walk the long and winding road of sand.
The road not to perdition, but the road to regain
your soul again.

We should learn Johnnie Walker's
"Black Label" principle: Keep Walking!!!

on Anxiety

I was on my way home after I visited our employer when I rode the Jeepney with a group of students. At first I just ignored what they are talking about. Why should I bother, I didn't even know them. Besides, it is traffic so what I did is I just closed my eyes. A few moments more and I'm asleep. A few minutes more, i woke up. Still, it was traffic so the driver decided to take a re-route.

I was then hearing familiar terminologies from the students. You can't help to listen to their conservations. Bingo, I knew it! They are nursing students from a prestigious university situated near the palace of the tallest president (sarcastically speaking) ever that this proud nation ever had. Kidding aside...hehehe...

The more they argued on some topics and questions. Oh, by the way they will have their Licensure examination this June 6 to 7. The anxiety level came up high when one of them expressed feelings on their up coming examination. The culmination of their studies for 4 long and tedious years. I asked my self, and i can't help not to help them to ease their anxiety... I asked my seatmate when is their examination? She answerd, "June 6 and 7 sir."

Then they asked me if I'm a nurse. I answered humbly with a "yes." The rest is History..
to cut the story short, I just shared what I did prior to the days of examination as far as my memory serves me right.

Maybe the striking statement which I feel took an effect to them is this: "When you are out there answering the examination, don't compete with the other examinees or even with your friends. You compete only with yourself. Pray hard it works."

Just like in our own lives, especially when it comes in making big decisions. Most of the time, you are left alone. You can ask for opinions of friends, family and the others. But down the wire, it will only be you and only you, nothing but the big YOU will call the shots that will later on change your Life.

on the verge of losing it and letting it go...

Sometimes we close our eyes and just listen
to the whispers of our heart. We all fall in Love
and there are times that we lose ourselves in
our own emotions, move often than not, we
wonder why there Love grows and Love grows cold.
We will begin to search for answers and to find out
where Love has gone wrong, but in the end we will
find ourselves where we started.
We can't question Love, when it has it's own reason.
Love is deeply profound. Most of us believe that Love
is forever, that Love never dies. Only to be disillutioned
in the end, when we joined our hands empty and
our hands longing.
We mistakenly have looked at Love as a need to be
fulfilled. But love is only entrusted to us. We should
not hold it in our hands forever, for we may not find
the strength to let it go when it decides to leave.
We should only embrace it's warmth and glow while
it lasts and then freely open our arms when it's time
to say good bye, no matter how painful it is.

Thoughts of the other Woman

What the heck strucked my senses and I chose this
topic to talk about. I'm not even one of them.
We all know that each person is needed to be loved
and that all is capable to love. I would laugh at a person
who would come to me and will say that "I can't Love."
That is a total bull@#!%.

Love is that one thing that could either make or break
you as a person. The good thing is there are chances
for us to rise up in our brokeness and eventually be
whole again once more. All of us made mistakes and
failures that is why I don't see the point why some
people see others mistakes. Everything happens for
a reason. Be it right or wrong. Everyone has their own
perception and opinion. All of us is entitled to shall I say
God's Greatest Gift" to us (atleast in my opinion),
that is called "freewill."

Maybe we do things out of Love. Sometimes or shall
I say most of the time we hurt the feelings of others.
Be it intentionally or not. Nothing is wrong with that,
what is important is that you have loved and
experienced to be love. it is a neverending cycle.

At the end of the day, you will say to your self that
I have truly lived for another day. I remember my
favorite celebrity chef (Wolf Gang Puck) in his parting
words before his show ends: LIVE LOVE EAT!!!
Its up to you guys if you want to add some meaning to it. Lol!!!

on Competitiveness

It is Monday, it is time for a good friendly game
of basketball with the old friars in our parish community.
Meeting old friends, talking and reminiscing the past memories
that bonded us as a group. I even gave a name to our group,
I called it Monday Club. Once you entered the gymnasium,
you can feel the intensity of each one. While you are watching and
waiting for your turn you can see that all are giving their best.
It seems that you are watching the NBA playoffs..

Who would never forget the bruises, the laceration in the
eyelids and most of all the famous fall I experienced which
caused me slip discs in my spine area. It almost paralized me.
But that never stoped me from playing again. After two months
of rehabilation, I once again came back to the pavement
and played the game I truly love.

The personalities, it changes on a weekly basis. The friars have
their famous Fr. Fred. In local dialect we call him "Amang."
The Great Father, maybe because he is the oldest in the group.
Who would not admire this man in his late 50's still running
around the court and still making his trademark off the board shots.
Take note he is diabetic for years. I still remember him during his
early years in our parish, he is a smoker. Then one monday when
he saw that there are a lot of youth playing in the gym.
He quited smoking and start playing with us. The competitive spirit,
his wisdom is very contagious. He even acts as a playing coach inside
the court if he is yor teamate.

I hope and wish, if ever I will reach that age I will be like him.
That is if I will reach that age. As what they say basketball is Life.
For some of these humble, lowly friars this is in deed true. A time for them to
know their fellow brethren and a good time to reach out to the community.
